Garnier BB Cream

Hey guys, I know it’s been way too long since I last posted anything. I’d like to say I have a good excuse... but honestly, I’ve been lazy.... but I’m gonna try to post something like once every week...

So today I’ll be reviewing Garnier’s BB Cream. I know this product is well known because ... well BB Cream is sexy ;) I’ve been seeing like tons of commercials and reading a whole bunch of reviews for this product and I finally decided to just go out and buy it. This is my honest opinion of this product and I just wanted to put out there that I bought this product... with my brother’s money... hehe :D and I wasn’t bribed or anything to write this review.
At first I didn’t even want to buy this product because I’m a big fan of.. well, Asian BB cream.. Not to be racist or anything, but Americanised BB creams tend to be just tinted moisturizers.

What is BB Cream?
BB stands for Blemish Balm, it’s one of the hottest and most popular products in Asia especially Korea right now and I believe that is where BB cream came from... and then I think like Americans like... got the idea to create different types of BB creams like I said, I’m not a big fan of their BB cream because it’s more of a tinted moisturizer.
It’s supposed to provide coverage as a foundation would but it’s supposed to feel thinner and not clog your pores, BB Cream is supposed to give you a dewy “No Makeup” look. BB cream is supposed to have “healing properties” ... and I believe that means it’s supposed to smoothen or soften your skin.

Garnier’s BB Cream
What It’s Supposed To Do:
Well on the bottle it says it’s an Instant All-In-one Innovation:
 Renews
Brightens
•Hydrates 24H
•Evens

Pros:
Unlike other BB creams that tend to be a tinted moisturizer, I think this product does give some coverage. I love the texture, it’s creamy and light, if it gave more coverage I would marry this product (jk I’m not that weird...). It’s blendable and easy to work with. It comes in a squeeze tube which I love because it’s hygienic. It can also be used as a primer.

Cons:
It only comes in 2 shades; Light/Medium and Medium/Dark, that kinda sucks ... in case you’re wondering, I’m in Light/Medium. It’s not waterproof, if you tear up you might get streaks. It provides coverage but not a lot... it gives you a light coverage. It has a sweet... shampoo scent which I love but if you have sensitive skin your skin might react to it... but I have sensitive skin and I’m just fine. It might make your skin oily.

My Experience:
I personally love this product, I use it as a primer for most days... and on days that I don’t need a lot of coverage, I’ll wear it with sunscreen and that’s it. Before I use it, I use a toner and then I moisturize and apply my Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream from The Body Shop. After that I put on sunscreen and then I squeeze a little amount of the BB Cream onto my fingers and I smudge it onto my face. I really do love how... smooth it is, it feels greats. If I don’t need a lot of coverage, I’ll just set it with powder and I’m good to go, but if I need more coverage I’ll apply some foundation with a stifling brush and then set it with powder.

It makes my skin oilier... or maybe it’s the weather, either way, I like to keep blotting sheets on me at all times. And I like to carry it around with me too in case something happens. The container is nice and small so it can definitely be thrown into your bag which is great.

I bought this BB Cream at Walmart, you can get it anywhere (drug stores, pharmacy, I think the gas station too, etc.) but if you can, get it at Walmart or Costco cuz it’s cheaper there... at Costco you can buy 2 for about $24 and at Walmart, I got it for about $12. At the drug store it ranges from $13-$20 so... SAVE MONEY!! :P

I recommend this product to people with normal or combination skin, if you have combo skin don’t use it on your oily areas.
I hope you guys found this review helpful, I plan on writing another book review and another “Get To Know Me” post soon so please look at those, it would mean a lot to me J

I hope you beautiful ladies or... handsome guys have a great weekend and please check out my other posts. Much love **

Jolen- Unwanted Hair Bleach

I don’t think a lot of people know about the product Jolen, none of my friends knew about it until I told them about it so I’ll be reviewing Jolen today J

What is Jolen?
Jolen is a crème bleach that lightens excess dark hair. So it’s ideal for like unwanted facial hair and like arm hair or stomach hair....
I got Jolen from a drug store and you can find it at like any drug store for about $10- $15. The box contains a container that says “Creme Bleach~ Mild formula crème” which is well... the cream, a smaller container that says “Creme bleach accelerator” which is like this powder that’s supposed to make the process of bleaching ur hair go by faster, it also has instructions and a spatula and a little pallet-plate-thing  for you to mix this stuff on.
Pros:
It definitely does bleach and lighten unwanted hair, and u can easily throw the 2 containers into ur purse and like go travelling with it or something.
Cons:
It’s not ideal for extremely sensitive skin and it gives you like this... red rash afterwards.. but it does go away. It sorta stings but it’s not like super painful or anything... like you’ll live. You’ll have to bleach ur hair more than once ... I’d say like once every month.

Overall Review:
You have to, HAVE to test this product before using it on like ur face because it really is strong. What I did was I mixed a little bit and like applied it to a small area on my leg and let it stay there for like 20 minutes (it depends on how dark ur hair is) and I removed it and I didn’t touch the product again for like a week just to make sure that I wasn’t allergic to it or anything.

I’m actually using it right now as I’m typing and it does sort of burn... it’s not too strong though, like I said, you’ll live. But I wouldn’t recommend using this product everyday cuz it will really irritate your skin. You can use this if you have sensitive skin, I have extremely sensitive skin and even though it irritates my skin a little bit, it’s worth it.
You basically just mix as much as you need and then apply it, leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes (no longer than 20), take it off and rinse your face with cold water just to soothe it, then moisturize. It’s important that you don’t use this product right after a steamy shower because open pores can lead to like.. some messed up skin lol.

I definitely recommend this product, it’s great and I love it, I wouldn’t use it like first thing in the morning... maybe like on a Friday night if you don’t have plans or on Sunday night... but the redness might still be there on Monday morning... everyone’s different though. If you have sensitive skin, you should get the one that has aloe vera in it.... and even if you don’t have sensitive skin, I would get it just to be on the safe side.
I hope you found this review helpful and of course, if you have any questions just leave a comment down below and I’ll get back to you cuz I have nothing better to do.... and because I love u ;)

Maybelline Cover Stick Concealer

I bought the Maybelline Cover Stick concealer awhile ago but I’ve only ever used it once or twice. I threw away the wrapper thing the concealer came in but I know it says that it gives full coverage and it’s perfect for dark circles and blemishes.

Pros of this product to me:
This concealer definitely does come in handy on days when you just need coverage. It’s small and portable. It’s somewhat blendable if you use a lot of it. It’s like in a... lipstick sorta container, you just twist the bottom and it comes out (is it just me, or does that sound dirty?).

Cons of this Product to me:
The first time I used this product, I got like this... almost zit-like bump on my cheek and it was super itchy, so if you have sensitive skin like me, you may or may not get a ... skin reaction. You literally rub the stick concealer onto your skin (like lipstick) so it’s not very hygienic or sanitary. It definitely cracks and if you use too much powder it’ll look cakey. In order to make it work, you need to use a lot of it and it feels heavy. It clogged my pores and made me break out, it also isn’t waterproof or sweat-proof, but it won’t like drip down your face, it’ll just transfer. The container is plastic and I’ve dropped it a few times without it breaking but I know that if I chucked it onto the ground with force, it would break. It doesn’t come in a lot of shades and most of the shades are for fair skinned people, it also comes in green though.

Overall Review:
I bought this concealer at a drugstore for about 10 bucks, so it’s not too expensive but it’s not cheap. Personally, I don’t really like it. It obviously has more cons than pros... It’s like rubbing a combination of clay and crayon on your face. It does cover dark circles, but it’s obvious that you’re wearing concealer.

You have to prime your skin before using this product; I use my fingers to blend it because using a concealer brush just will not work. It’s somewhat creamy, it’s solid and you need to use force to apply it evenly. I would only use recommend this product to those who have normal skin and combination skin... it’ll look cakey on dry skin and it’s not worth breaking out for oily skin.

I moisturize my skin then prime before I use this product, afterwards, I use foundation, and you really can’t use it alone... or at least I couldn’t. Like I’ve said before, we’re all different; this concealer didn’t really work for me. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it but I’ll probably give it another chance sometime soon.

I've seen a lot of good reviews for this concealer, but from my experience, I'll have to say I don't like it.

Maybelline SuperStay foundation

Ok so the first product I'll be reviewing is the Maybelline SuperStay Foundation.

On the bottle, the product claims the following:
• Withstand heat, sweat, and humidity.
•No-transfer (won’t rub off)
•Flexible, breathable comfort.
•Oil free- Non pore clogging
•Suitable for all skin types.

Pros of this product to me:

This foundation has an excellent coverage, I’d say at least medium coverage, but u can definitely build it up to a full coverage though that may look a bit cakey. I think the bottle is really cute, it’s a little glass bottle with a plastic cap.

Cons of this Product to me:

There isn’t a pump. I know how important a pump is to most people, and the bottle is “pump-less” L As I mentioned in the Pros section above, the bottle is made of glass so you need to be careful with it, don’t drop it or it may shatter... I’m actually not sure if it will shatter or not because I haven’t dropped my bottle yet, but just in case, be careful. The foundation feels a bit heavy because it’s so thick, so if you have oily skin, you’ll have to blot. This product doesn’t come in a lot of shades.. I’ve only ever seen like 9 different shades but I know there are more.

Overall Review:

I personally really like this foundation. It’s a drugstore foundation and you can find it at almost any drugstore. For a drugstore foundation, it is a bit pricey... but it’s worth paying like... $2 more. The product is extremely thick, so it takes awhile to finish the bottle. The bottle contains 30ml of the foundation. It’s not runny, so it takes awhile to poor out of the bottle and it can be messy at times. It does withstand heat and sweat, but it might feel uncomfortable if it’s humid and you’re sweating because it’s soo thick it might transfer, but it won’t completely rub off.

I find that when I’m wearing this foundation, I have to blot every hour or so just because my skin can be oily at times. If you’re like dripping sweat and extremely oily, it MIGHT rub off... but if you set your foundation that shouldn’t be a problem.

It isn’t matte, your skin might look a bit oily or shiny, but it definitely will not look matte. The product claims to be oil-free, but that doesn’t mean it won’t clog your pores. Because it’s so thick, I found that If I apply it to my forehead and chin (where I break out) I might break out.. so keep that in my mind. After a few days of using this foundation, I developed a light but somewhat noticeable rash on my cheeks... but using the foundation, I was able to cover it up. After a few days of not wearing any makeup at all, the rash went away and I started to use the foundation again without having to worry about getting anymore rashes.

When I used this product, I didn’t have to wear any concealer for my dark circles, this foundation can definitely double as a concealer- which I love <3

How I apply this foundation:
I use a moisturizer and then a mattifyer before applying the foundation, then I’ll place a small “pea-sized” amount of foundation on the back of my hand and I’ll use a stifling brush to apply it... for areas where I need more coverage (like my dark circles) I’ll just dip my finger into the lid (because there always seems to be a little foundation stuck to the top of the lid) and I pat and blend it onto my skin using my finger. Then I’ll use powder to set my foundation.

I personally would recommend this to anyone who might need full coverage, it’s perfect for special occasions :) I hope you found this helpful. And remember, we’re all different, you may or not like this foundation.

Hi there :)
Here you can read about my honest opinions of... things... I don't wanna say "products" because I highly doubt I'll only be reviewing "products".. so yeah. Um.. I just wanna clarify that all of the things that I'll be reviewing are things that I bought by myself and that I'm not paid to advertise any of the following... "items"

I hope you find these reviews helpful :) I know how much I used to LOVEEE reviews, especially since I never really knew what to buy and what NOT to buy... You obviously don't wanna waste your money on something crappy ...
